These bats were very simple to make.  I found an outline of a bat online, traced different sizes of said bat onto posterboard, and cut them out.  To affix them to the wall I just used masking tape.  I folded them to make their wings flap a little Smiley

Going across the door to my room at the shop:

Extreme closeup of a bat friend:

They're in my hair!  They're in my hair!  Get them out!!!

very cute. I LOVE bats!

It is women who love horror. Gloat over it. Feed on it.
Are nourished by it. Shudder and cling and cry out...
And come back for More.

Weird, my friend Laura and I were just talking about making some of these

As opposed to a revolver, I use a sharpened pencil to displace my brains. I gently squeeze the trigger and splatter the page with metaphor

Thanks guys!  I'm also making some for home.. I want to hang them from the ceiling so they look like they're flying.  I tried poking a hole in their tummies and threading a ribbon through them (so I would have like 3 on a strand) but they were being uncooperative and looked like they were all taking nosedives... so instead I am poking a hole in the tip of each wing and putting ribbon through the holes and tieing it at each wing, so they can all fly properly  Grin

Very nice! It reminds me of these Martha Stewart ones (that are pricey!) http://www.grandinroad.com/jump.jsp?item=35336&maincatcode=null&subcatcode=null&itemID=21748&itemType=PRODUCT&path=1%2C2%2C2759%2C5794%2C5797&iProductID=21748

.... but I actually like yours better!

I love it! One of my roommates just bought a bunch of bat cut outs from a craft store, but this is a much cheaper (and more personal!) idea!

Could you share where you found the outline online please? Smiley

I just kind of invented my outline.. I Googled "Bat Template" and got irritated with the cartoon-y-ness of the bats I found there, so I just drew one on a piece of paper.  Then I used the handy-dandy photocopier at work to enlarge and reduce it until I had 4 different sizes.
