So a group of friends and the hubby and I packed up the car and went to Santa Fe for Labor Day. Upon returning I wanted to make a little memento for everyone. I used the idea from Mark Montano's "Big Ass Book of Crafts" to create a 3D picture (choosing layers from an individual photo and cutting them out and elevating each layer in turn). These are really neat!  You've really got a nice balance between bright, layered colors and keeping the focus on the photo.

Those are great! Your friends are going to love having such a great memento of your trip. I hope you're going to make one for yourself.
