this is wonderful.  trust me, no one notices the mistakes except the person who makes the item.  You are being way too hard on yourself.  Your piece is totally recognizable, therefore you've succeeded!  Keep up the good work  Smiley

I can't even imagine what a pain it was to use the yarn, but it was an awesome choice because the hair and mustache make the piece! Totally rocks!
