Hey Smiley Haven't posted any jewelry in a while so I thought i'd share this commission piece I finished up yesterday.
The chain is absolutely killer - solid sterling silver, its got some serious weight to it. I just want to fondle it, its so beautiful. mmm silver.
All 22 headpins are handmade from sterling, and it fastens with a sterling lobster clasp (bracelet is 7.5″ long). The beads are amethyst, fresh water pearl, Swarovski crystal, lapis lazuli, glass, Swarovski pearl, jade, citrine, amber (Baltic and Russian), fire agate, chalcedony, dyed coral, and garnet.

hehe part of me really wants to keep this, but I'll be a good girl and send it off to its new owner Smiley

Gorgeous.
I love how the beads are different sizes, and of course being a lover of color I love the fact that it's a rainbow.
Great job!

thanks! I made myself a light box but recently I'm failing at using it, which I just don't understand... maybe i need more lights? its a major point of frustration for me. anyway, i seem to get the best pictures in the window of the library at work it seems, so i just bring stuff with me to work to snap pictures of on my break. I guess whatever works Smiley

Hmmm you may need more light, how much do you use?  I have 5 clamp lights on mine, and I could probably use more  Undecided

i have 4 clamp lights on it now, with daylight compact fluorescents (pretty sure that's what they're called). Its a pretty big box too - the back, top and bottom are full sheets of foamcore. I've been thinking about adding two more clamp lights - think that would do it? Either that or I might buy a professional (and much smaller) lightbox. as it is, i'm stuck with this giant box on my table all the time, so something that could be, you know, put away when not in use would be awesome. i tend to do all my crafting at night though, so without a light box i'm pretty stuck unless i can take shots while i'm at work - the light isn't usually good enough for photos by the time I get home in the evenings. the thing that has me stumped is I swear it used to be brighter! I didn't have this problem a few months ago and I haven't changed anything with my setup. its like the lights have gotten... duller? is that even possible? gar.
