I've finished a lot of crochet projects this summer, and have a lot to show, but I thought I'd start with the largest one.
It's 40x50", made out of wool with a crochet hook nr 5. Took me a couple of weeks and was mostly fun.
I used different red, pink and purple colours, framed it with different greens and finished the job with brown edges. It's supposed to look like a flower bed with red flowers. The colours are more vibrant live, but this is what I've got.
This is going to be a wedding present for some friends getting married next week, and since my last wedding blanket was a success, I hope this will be too.

Enugh rambling.

That's great!  Not only do the colors look smashing, but it's soooooo tidy and well-hooked.  I've been coveting granny-square scarves and think these colors would make a great one.

Thanks for your kind replies. I know this isn't as ambitious as my multicoloured blanket (320 squares) but on the other hand it shows that even a big blanket doesn't have to be a huge project. This is 63 squares and took me a couple of weeks thanks to the big hook. With thicker yarn and a bigger hook a blanket will be done in no time.
