Details of Swap:

The weather is starting to chill in these parts so I thought this would be the perfect time for another hoodie swap.  We will be decorating one hoodie for our partner.  Your partner will have 5 themes listed on his/her questionaire and you will choose how to decorate his/her hoodie based on these themes.  Hoodies can be stenciled, hand painted, silk screened, embroidered, appliqued, air brushed etc.   I am going to ask that you keep store bought iron on transfers to a minimum and if they are used they need to secure.  

You will have the option to purchase your own hoodie and send it to your partner before sept 30 or your can let your partner choose your hoodie for you.  If you choose to purchase your own hoodie then you will be paired with someone who will also be purchasing their own hoodie.  
Communication is important.  Please be sure to post in the thread and pm partner often to keep everyone up on your status.

Would it be better if I gave people the option to buy their own hoodie or should I just leave it mandatory?

I am really tempted by this.

As regards the hoodies I would say leave it mandatory, otherwise someone may be in the position of both buying their hoodie and one for a partner, which seems a little unfair.

Just from past swaps I would say buying your own hoodie is a better idea

Hmmm... I will have to think about this one. I still wear the hoodie that I got in the very first hoodie swap, AND I have a naked hoodie in my closet that is begging to be decorated!

I think it's okay to make sending your own hoodie mandatory. Who wants to work hard on something and then have it not fit their partner?

This was such a fun swap last time, I still love my hoodie!  Here's hoping I get my head above water in time to sign up.

As per making sending your own hoodie mandatory, the only problem I see is it getting to your partner in a timely manner.  My last packaged to the US from CAN took almost 20 days to get there.

I think I'll sign up for this one as soon as my package from my first swap has been received.  I sent it yesterday, so it should be there in a couple of days.  I'm all about embroidery, so I'll be lookin to embroider someones hoodie!!
