Three new packages this morning! I love the pompomed pillow, the cross stitch (great frame for that!) and the shrine. I really like that noisemaker, too, aroze. It's so cute, and it does look like an actual vintage item.

What great stuff!   That noisemaker is awesome!  Is it a paper mache sort of form?

Its a simple paper mache box. I poked holes to put the dowel in, filled it with some pellets and glued the lid on. After I painted it, I added the paper fluffy stuff so it kind of hides where the lip of the lid shows.

It was such a lovely day out, a cool 48 degrees, that I walked to the P.O. to drop off some boxes and on the way back checked my mail at the office.  I had received TWO boxes from Banga!

They were labeled Box 1 and Box 2 so I started with box 1.  It had pumpkin-colored tissue paper and shiny little witches/j.o.l.s/ghosts inside as well as...

a tall tin!  It has vintage Halloween images wrapped around it with little bobble ribbon around the lide and sports silver letters that spell "F-R-I-G-H-T"

Inside the tin were...

two jars of dessert sauces!  They are Raspberry Dessert Sauce and Ginger-Peach Dessert Sauce labeled Bed-Bug Poison and Deadly Nightshade, repectively.  I even have yummy recipes to include these with AND they were made from the local famer's market produce.

Also inside Box 1 were...

decorated cards!  They remind me of ATCs except that they actually open up in card-form and have their own envelopes for mailing.  With these, I'm quite selfish, so I think I'll be finding some matching frames and hanging them together on the wall.

Here is the card that Banga used to introduce her items to me.  I agree with her that the zombie/golem pumpkins are creepy.

Now for Box 2...

a Halloween wreath!  I had opened the box and it was still mostly covered by tissue paper and I'm telling you, I squealed and said "No way!"  It's pretty awesome.  The spider web in the center is great--it's detachable, but that's not happening.
Check out the little grinning spider!  Isn't he the cutest?!

Thank you, Banga, for the swap package and being my Vintage Halloween partner! Grin

My kitty thanks you, too, for the fun tissue paper.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your package, irid3sc3nt! I had so much fun crafting for you! The wreath got a bit smooshed, but it's just wire and plastic, so you can sort of reposition any wonky letters or flat sides. The spider legs are pose-able and look like they slid around a bit, so he can go anywhere you want him to also. Your pumpkin grins reminded me of the spider face, and we both used black pompom ribbon, which made me laugh when I opened the box from you.  Cheesy

So much great stuff - eveybody's stuff is just wonderful - I really do love this swap!

And I am especially loving my awesome goodies from sweetyetevil Grin  Sorry it took so long to post photos - had to work late last week and then left town for the weekend.  Some are clickable thumbnails so as not to completely hog the thread.

Here's everything all together - nice haul, huh?  Jewelry, magnets, triptych, pumpkin, coffin and box (complete with spiders) full of goodies

Front of coffin
Back of coffin

Inside of coffin complete with lovely soldered necklace (which says CREEPY on the back - see photo of everything), two pendants (resin and decoupage) and magnets (Nancy Drew - my childhood hero  Cheesy)

Pumpkin - already in a place of honor in my entry way (well, not in this photo - that spot is too dark to photo)

Lovely triptych which is also gracing the entry - and I've already had compliments on it!

It's not that I don't want to swap, it's that I often don't have time.  But feel free to ask (especially if it's one that's not too time consuming).
