I've been coveting the cute flower headbands I see at Urban Outfitters, but was never willing to pony up the money for them.  They're so expensive and I always thought I could make them on my own.  When I went to the dollar store a few days ago, I realized just how right I was.  I got everything I needed to make 5 or 6 of them for only 2 dollars (three if you want more than one type of flower).  Talk about a deal.

I started with these.  Kinda tacky, but they work without all the leaves.  Buy a bunch of elastic headbands (I got a pack of eight) and you'll be good to go.

I made the headband in the first picture with the smaller flowers and this one with one bigger flower.

Three flower headband off of my head.

Big flower headband off of my head.

This is the back for the three flower headband.

And this is the back for the big flower headband.

I think from the pictures, it's pretty clear that all I did was glue the elastic headbands onto the flowers.  So easy!  But if you want more detailed directions, you can check it out at the blog I write for: http://www.boredla.com/craftiness-is-next-to-godliness-pretty-for-pennies/

Comments and criticism are always welcome!
