I have a very long black cats tail for halloween, but I want a tail with longer fur.
I've thought about buying furry fabric and sewing it on over the black tail,
but I want to keep the black tail in case I want to wear that one instead..

I've looked online but I just get cheesy cat costumes that have a small tiny tail.
Does anyone have a website or store they'd like to suggest?
Thanks for your time!

It probably won't be too hard if you have some sewing skills to make one with some fur from JoAnns.  Just buy a quarter of a yard maybe, sew up a cylinder, stuff it, even put some wire in there to make it poseable, and you've got a tail with longer hair and more personal.

Hope that helps!

I will most likely resort to that,
but only if I don't find a tail online or at a store to my liking..
My hands are just so cramped from handsewing recently,
and now that schools started, I have to write constantly.

Not sure how much money you're willing to spend (or time either), but have you considered hair extensions.  The synthetic Kanekelon (sp?) ones you see in Beauty supply stores are pretty cheap.  I was thinking you could just grab little bits (about half the thickness of your pinkie), fold it in half and tie it (in the middle) with black thread or those tiny black rubber bands.  Then secure these hair plugs to a fleece tail.  Either hot glue or sew them on.  It would take a few packages, and a few hours probably but you could maby make a bunch of plugs sitting in front of the tv, and then secure them on later.  You would get a really nice tail out of this I think.

OK, I made a (crude) diagram so you could maybe better visualize what I am talking about.

Hope this helps.  I think you will get a really silky, "long-hair cat" type of tail this way.

That really looks like a good idea, but we have.. no money.. (I'm 16, parents pay for.. everything..) and school just started so I'm usually working on homework and the such..
I WILL keep that in mind, though.

I also don't have TV, hahaha XD
