Details of swap: Dotees are small dolls that are 4" - 6" in size and have a loop for hanging. These dolls can be made of any material - fabric, wire, clay, felt, beads and any combination of the aforementioned. The only requirements for these dolls is the size, the loop and a face. Please visit the other galleries to see what other swappers have made in the past. If this is your first time, keep it simple. If this is your third or fourth or seventh swap, challenge yourself to make something new and with a different material.
I try to make groups of four so you make and send three. I also group according to your preference of US-only or international okay. In the case of more than one international swapper, I attempt to put one international person in each group that can send. That does discriminate against the international person, though - they have to send 3 to USA. Anyway, it has worked out in the past. In the event of an odd number of swappers, there may be a group of 3 only or I would email and ask if you and your group would be willing to be in a group of 5.
This is my fourth (?) time organizing and what I have learned that while I don't expect everyone to post comments daily, I would like to encourage each member to post weekly to let us know that you are still active. And if something comes up, and life does have a way of interfering with your crafting and posting, just let me know. I don't bite and I am pretty understanding about most things. Late is one thing, disappearing quite another. Join if you are sure you have the time or can make the time. Please do not join if you think your schedule for September and October will prevent you from enjoying and participating in this swap. Thanks!
