I came across a thrift store that I've never noticed before on St Catherine West. I don't know the name of it or the number but it's a little further west than where the Omer de Serre used to be, before you reach the Pepsi Forum. It's only open three days a week: Mondays for refugees only and then Thursday and Friday to the public from 10am to 5pm, if I remember rightly. Does anyone know anything about it?

I think you're talking about Coeur des Nations (Heart of the Nations) which is a church-based thrift shop specifically to serve the disadvantaged population.  I've never been in, but since they are very focused on refugees, they're probably pretty good all around, except for the weird-ass hours.
