I made this shrine for the IYP. I'm super proud of it. It is my first go at a large shrine. I'm so in love with making them I already have several more planned. The theme my partner gave was love.
I painted and distressed the out side and added a rusted plaque to put the title label in.

I hand made the candles as well as the nest. The egg shell is real and came from the hubby's grandparent's chickens.

I made it very personal for my partner. The book page is picked for a specific reason as is the rainbow.

Thanks for looking.  Wink

Awesome! I love that you made the nest yourself, and the egg with the Love popup is adorable!

That's tops!  I've been working up the nerve to have a go at making shrines and this convinces me to keep trying.

Fabulous use of materials, colors, and textures.

I love the look of altered art & shrines...and am convinced I cannot do it myself. I bet your partner will love it!
