I jumped right into it and forgot the pocket  Undecided

I like the pattern.  Added some hardware.  Hate the top stitching.  Mine always looks wobbly.  But I would definitely make another.  Next time maybe with stabilizer.

Did you mean Buttercup Bag?  Those are really popular.  I love your use of a contrasting fabric for the strap and top part.  I just made two myself, for thank you gifts.

And I agree, topstitching can be a b**ch, but it makes it look really finished!

Great job!

And, not only that, but, no one but you really notices when it's wonky!!

The fabrics you chose look good together! Accolades for adding hardware- I usually screw that stuff up! I don't think yours looks wonky at all!
Thanks for the link, I've been wanting to make a new bag for fall, this one will be perfect!

FYI I found with the hardware that it gives the bag nice weight.  Without it, it would be very light since there is no interfacing.  Hardware was definitely a plus i think.

I also attach my straps to  hardware in my buttercup bags. I use key chain rings from the hardware store because it's within walking distance and they are very inexpensive.

Also I often use grosgrain ribbon to attach the ring to the bag and then run the strap through it.

I also do this on other purses and grocery bags. It looks more finished to me.
