My 10 year old was tired of the fairytale theme in her room.  And when she got a Hannah Montana comforter for Christmas she decided she wanted her room redone.  As you can see in the before pictures she wasnt very tidy.  But the agreement was, if I redo the room, she keeps it neat.  So far she is doing pretty well with that.  Here are the before photos

This is the wall where the bed will be.  I dont think you can tell, but the boarder has like a parade with princesses on horses and knights.  I love it and hated tearing it off!

We are getting rid of that book shelf in the corner.  And notice the curtain.  It is up already because we couldnt wait to hang it.  My mom made the curtain and I think it is gorgeous.  It is Hannah Montana with butterflies.

After Photos:

The room is so small it is hard to get a good picture of it.  I dont like the white net she has hanging over her bed.  My aunt gave that to me and it was her idea to hang it.

We were hoping the stripped wall would make the room look larger.  I really didnt like it because it reminded me of Baskin and Robins Ice Cream store front!.  But then I added the butterfly stamps and we love it now.  I dont know if you can see it, but the comforter and curtains have butterflies on them too.

It took nearly 2 weeks to get it all done.  I remember before I had kids I could do something like this over a weekend.  We love how it turned out.

Hee hee. Two weeks? I've been working on a room since February. I think the room is sweet and I think it has a bit of a circus feel with the stripes. great job.

Nice room. The butterflies on the striped walls are a great idea, so beautiful! I made pink stripes too, but it took me 4 months to complete the room (not only the stripes of course)
