This is truely one of the most beautiful purses I've ever seen.  Really great color combos, and the embroidery is amazing.

How did you get your inside pocket to lay so nicely against the side of the bag?  Is it a divided pocket and therefore sewn to the lining?  Or is it the width of the bag?  Whenever I try and make an interior pocket that is the width of the bag, no matter how short the bag is (tote to wristlet), the pocket hangs open into the middle of the bag making it hard to get anything into the body of the bag as opposed to the pocket.  So I'm doubly impressed that your pocket is so nice and orderly.

Hi Zelda, I was trying to remember how I made the pocket. I can't look cause I've wrapped it up. It was the width of the bag, attached to the lining, but not to the bottom. But to stop it hanging I stitched it into three small pockets and I used fusible interfacing to stiffen the pocket. However doing the pocket across the whole width of the bag does make it quite thick to sew and sort of lumpy. Does any of this make sense. I am still coming to terms with doing inside pocket, like zips I am trying to pretend they are not really that essential when making bags !!!!  both kind of hurt my brain  xxx Ladylemmon

you are a great friend. i LOVE that bag.
i wish i could sew.  i have a great machine but no knack for following patterns of any kind. the only thing i can sew is a "dog tube" (i dubbed it that) b/c i took the sleeve off of an old tshirt and hemmed one side of it. i added felt decorations and then slid it onto my 3 lb dog so she wouldnt freeze at night.

i'd rather make an awesome purse like you made!!

good job!!  Grin

Life isn't complete 'til you crochet a uterus for a friend.  Just make sure your fallopian tubes point down and not up! No one needs to lose an eye this way! Wink
