what did you use for the hoop? and how did you get it in there? maybe i missed something?

The rings that I used actually came off of the old shade, but they are also available on the web in many sizes (just google 'lampshade rings', you'll get a lot of results).

as for getting the shade onto the hoops, you have to cut the material between the holes (see pics in directions) and 'snap' them in place.

this would be even cooler with color plasticore or spray painted!! just imagine the possibilities!!
you could take several colors of spray paint and do light dots all over!
