So my home office needed a little "something" and it came in the form of a pink stripe around the ceiling.  All I did was tape it off and paint it in.  I suggest ripping off the tape before the final coat is dry as once it dries, the paint forms a seal over the tape and you will likely rip off paint with the tape.

I like it, it's subtle and unexpected.

Yes, I've had similar problems with paint drying onto the tape, but when you have to do a primer coat and three coats of a the color it is a good idea to be prepaired with a utility knife and score the paint before pulling. Also despite that you still have to do a few touch-ups. Lol.

My brother-in-law made something similar with gold and green on the ceiling. Nice job.
