Okay, this was a pain in the tush to do.  Everything needed to be modeled just right, but luckily the cardboard at the back of the helm was heavier than the foam board.  It makes it easy to wear and looks great.

Looks good, do you have an action shot so we can see how it looks on? I'm mostly curious of the size!

I'd post one later tonight/today.  Gotta get someone else to take it.  (I just have a mini tripod - sigh.)

**Edited:  Action Shot!

*Uber Edit: The entire thing is textured, thanks to the properties of acrylic paint and baking soda.  The paint on the visor is unadulturated, and there is dark silver paint on the model magic "welds".

Thank you.  I had a lot of time to work on it.  (It's part of a Halloween costume.)

It's modified so it's not quite so masculine looking.

Good luck to the rest of you in the challenge!

Thanks for the linked photo, imxriotxhere.  That's him in the Silent Hill movie.  Cheesy

As for the classic "great knife" he carries - I'm not building that.  I rather carry a fake plastic machete instead of a great big weapon into a club.  It's annoying, but I suppose it can be done.

Oh Man, I wish you'd make that huge sword for it... your helm is so close to the real one and he's so my favorite Silent Hill monster:)

I actually figured that more people would comment on this. It's really good. Can't wait to see the final costume (although... the giant sword seems like way too much fun not to make!!) so post it for me!

The sword would be awesome. A broom stick with a wrapped handle and a big ol folded piece of corrugated painted with blood and pieces of flesh would be nice. Wink It can even be a bit smaller. I'm just saying.
