I just hit - this rocks and wrote, "my new favorite thing on craftster!"

great job. I love the presentation - and your choice of fabric. I would love to give this pattern a shot for my poor weenie dog (whos always cold it seems) but I have never successfully completed a pattern. Perhaps I should buy it for another time. Do you have any tips or tricks you don't mind sharing?

Thanks for posting!!

This is just too adorable for words!  Great job on the fish!  I totally wish I had the skills to make one of these for my chi-chi, but her store bought kitty bed will have to suffice for now!  Smiley

This rocks!

Too cute  Smiley That makes me miss my little long haired chihuahua very much. She passed away last year. She would have never fit in anything like that though because she was very overweight  Tongue

Am I really that obvious? Yes, actually I'm working on my PhD in biology right now and I completed my MS this past may. I don't actually do much with fish, salamanders are more my field.  Wink

It was surprisingly easy to get her to do what I wanted. I persuaded her to go in and out of the fish with some treats and getting her to bark is actually pretty easy. In this case, she started more or less on her own, I had the tv on while taking the photos and there was a doorbell sound on the show. Vicious guard dog that she is, Kandi started barking and I just took photos of it. The whole photo shoot couldn't have taken more than 10 minutes, if that.

Thanks! I bet a weenie dog would love this! (Then again, I had bet that a certain deep sea pom-chihuahua would have loved it too and that isn't exactly the case. Smiley) I don't really have any tips or tricks, I really just followed the directions as they were written except for that one change I mentioned and I'm not sure I can really describe what I did for that change without the pattern in front of me (and it has since gone AWOL). I did find, since I sewed this monstrosity by hand, that a thimble came in handy since the pressure needed to sew through the foam was often greater than the pressure needed to stab the back of the needle into the finger that I was using to sew with . . . hurray for thimbles!

Good luck!
