So, I spent my entire day crafting and finding really neat things to craft. Ahhhh the joy of being a college student. So i spent quite a bit of time at the dollar store and found that they had these bags of colored sand with a bag of seashells inside. So i bought the bag of pink sand with its sea shells and came home and dumped the sand into a record bowl i had made awhile ago. I of course sealed off the bottom by covering it with a folded over piece of tin foil, i'm sure theres a better way.

Then, after dumping the sand in i put some of these lighthouse charms in that had also gotten from the dollar store. I am going to try to figure out how to make a palm tree to put in the middle. I also attached beads on the sides by burning a hole and putting the wire with the beads through. I also put one of those cute coctail umbrellas in there. now only if i could find a mini beach chair.

My mom works in an office and she loves the beach so i thought this was a cute idea to cheer her office up. I will try to put pictures up later when i find the cord for my digital camera.

You could always make beach chairs out of toothpicks and some fabric.
