They look kind of normal from the front...

But check out the back!

I saw this post a while ago and thought they were really cute.  However, I'm not game to make something like that to wear out so decided to make some PJ pants instead!  I used an old Simplicity pattern and added the ruffles.  You might be able to tell that they are done in my inimitable "I can't be bothered to use a ruler to mark out the pieces let alone sew them straight" style, but the crushed cotton fabric kind of makes it look like I planned it that way.  Cheesy

Comments, criticism and questions welcome!

PS I wish to add the usual apologies for the photos, both the for the quality and the model!  Cheesy  However, the last photo is pretty hot.  Flannelette sheets - mmm! Wink

I do hope you're going to wear something suitably sexy on the top, as  ;Dthey are a fabby pair of jammies!

Those are awesome! I've always loved the ruffled bottoms they have for baby girls. I don't think I'd be brave enough to wear these out (like in the inspiration post), but these would be fun to wear as pj's, I'm going to have to try this.

These turned out so cute!  I think perhaps I could use a new pair of PJ shorts as well... Wink

Thanks guys!

When I was sewing, I was reminded of some cossies I used to have that were fluoro pink with a fluoro yellow ruffle around the backside.  Maybe I should scale down the pattern and make some for my friend's little girl...

I've been thinking about how I'm going to 'top these off'.  I've still got a fair bit of the fabric left so I'll be scouring Craftster for ideas for inspiration for a top to match.  I've got plenty of time though - it won't be warm enough for little PJs for a month or two yet!  They are really comfy though!

Awesome! I used to wear similar ruffle bottom shorts as a kid! It'd be fun to go old school with these!
