I have had this adorable fabric sitting around for ages, I originally bought it to make cage liners and hammocks for my pet rats but just couldn't bare to make it into something that will just get chewed up, so this purse is what I ended up with. Grin I still have tons left, I'm thinking of making a bell skirt out of the rest. Grin

here is a picture of the front so you can see the button detail, I only had 4 buttons so the back only has 1. lol

This is my first time starting a topic here, hopefully I did the pictures right!

Oh, that's so cute! Adorable fabric, and the pictures look great to me. n_n You should definitely make a bell skirt from it! =o Are those wooden buttons on the side? They're a really pretty detail.

I apologize if the preceding post contained too many smilies.

Thank you ladies. Grin
alorralora, I will definitely post action shots of the bag and skirt when I am finished. Smiley
heranje, yes they are wooden buttons. It needed something and I happened to find them in the bottom of my sewing kit. Grin

I just absolutely love the shape of your purse. Is it your own design or did you follow a pattern?

And that fabric is too cute!

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments. Smiley The fabric is from Walmart of all places, they actually have three or four other fabrics with coordinating designs on them also (I bought some of that as well Tongue).

I did not use a pattern (is it just me or do they always seem to be far more complicated than necessary?) but the design is based on similar bags I have seen. I plan on making another of these soon, I would be happy to do a tutorial if anyone is interested. Smiley
