I used my tutorial http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=317136.msg3652284#msg3652284 and made this Self Portrait last night. I LOVE it.

Ok so I got all the supplies at my local Dollar shop. Heres the list.
Poster paper--3 for $1
Brush set--$1
Pack of pencils--$1
Small bottle black craft paint--$1
Small watercolor kit--$1
