Soo I've been meaning to put this up earlier.. but I wanted to post something else in the same post but oh well I still need to finish that dress Tongue

Anywho, it was my birthday recent, aug 29 actually (finally 16, yay!...gaah im so young), and I got a new pretty singer for it! Sooo happy. I started making this skirt before I got my machine by hand but as soon as I got my baby I hopped right on and finished it.
I kindareally love the skirt and I wore it for my birthday and got tons of nice comments and guys ;] haha.
I made the shirt as well out of an old t-shirt which was super easy to whip up. :]

excuse the face... exposed zipper mainky because I was lazy... I'm not sure how much I like it though:

I loveeee the print on the fabric... which was leftovers from when my grandma use to sew. I'm happy with how my fake pleates came out.. I didn't know how to make them so I kinda just guessed. And oh excuse the waist band that really needs to be ironed.

Thanks for looking! :]

Wow, great work. I have to get back to sewing. You did i great job with the pleats it turned out really nice plus i think the exposed zipper is much cooler than a hidden one.

also wanted to say i had a little bit of the same vintage fabric, but in primary colors...i only had one small piece though, what a find to have enough to make your dress!
