I started this piece about four months ago, got a bit annoyed with it (mainly for not being able to decide on the colours) then picked it up last week and decided to finish it.



I backstitched the outline in black, the facial features are satin stitch (i love that stitch) and the hair in long and short stitch. The necklace is also satin stitch with the middle part couched. The background cross stitched in silk thread, with a strand of blue and purple. It took forever but the texture really works against the hair.
