Okay, then if I'm not scarred for life from the current swap I'm organizing (just a couple of issues have cropped up Wink ), I'll plan to start the swap next Friday (because my grades should be turned in, so I'll be a teeny tiny bit less stressed, I hope Wink ).

So... save a spot Grin

Well, if by some chance this swap gets too big, I can draft you as co-organizer so you can get your feet wet Wink

I got a PM from a potential swapper who had some questions. I figured I'd post the bulk of my reply to her in the swap thread and see what you guys think:

I was thinking of partnering folks based on fiber availability and fiber wishes. Partnering nightmare, probably, but I'd have to put some conditions in- such as "must be willing to ship internationally"

Would a more general question like...

Would you be willing to send and receive some non-acrylic Odd Balls?

... work to solve things?

And then partners could decide on the amount of non-acrylics (such as 5 out of 10 of the odd balls) and the fiber types. I wouldn't want someone to send some amazing hand-spun and get Sugar N'Cream cotton in return...

It would also be an easier way for me to arrange partners (and then I could eliminate the "must be willing to ship internationally" bit).

For me, it'd be a way for me to get some samples of yarns I wouldn't normally buy. And, while I know it's supposed to be a stash-buster type of swap, I'd venture to the store (just before Christmas I found about a LYS that is about 10 minutes from my house) and grab a few new types of yarn. But, I wouldn't expect anyone else to do that Wink

So, what do you all think of the question in blue? Would that work for folks? That way, I can partner folks based on being able to send and receive other fiber content Odd Balls, yet leave it open for partners to decide on the specific amounts of them. And, that would still leave the option for folks who can only send acrylic.

I guess I'd also have to add the caveat that if I can't match you with a partner who can send other fibers, you'll have to be okay with sending/receiving only acrylics...

Like the question in blue as well as asking for how many of non acrylic odd balls.

Of course I would like 100% non acrylic, but I'll be ok with any acrylic received, it just means that craftADDchick will have to start round 6 of Granny Daughters. haha

I'm sure I'll be able to find you a partner who is willing to swap 100% non-acrylic. 'Cause I'd love to get all non-acrylic too Wink Of course, I'd also love some new colors of acrylics for the next round of the Granny's Daughters swap. Hmmmm... maybe I'll have to have 2 partners Grin

Round 4 has begun!

I had to extend sign-ups a bit because I'll be away on vacation and didn't want to worry about setting up partners while I was away Smiley
