Patterns tend to make me take longer, so I usually just make it up as I go along. Love the fabric, what a great find! Very inspiring Grin

thanks for all the love lovelies! I wore this hat to work the other day and was SHOCKED at how many people wanted to talk about it!

I have a feeling I'll be making a bunch more this week to try to get all the kinks worked out!
Wish me luck!

LOVE THE HAT!  Adorable! Great idea!  Now you have me thinking about making a hat for the fall!

The only thing I can critique about the hat is the light color thread you used for the topstitching, my eye is drawn right to that point on the hat.

 - I love the plaid fabric!  Did you do any kind of lining?  I made a cycling cap of a really lightweight fabric and it desperately needs some sort of lining to give it a bit of heft...   Tongue
I particularly love putting buttons at the tippy-top on these hats where all the seams meet so you don't notice any overlapping-ness

On this hat I did not line it. Mostly because I didn't know what I was doing ya know? So I made another one and I did try to line it and...well it turned out a little bunchy. Not bad though. I'm experimenting more with hats though and I'll photo the one I lined and post it up.

Also thanks to EVERYONE for your sweetness!
