It's time for the fall challenge and I'm so excited about this one! The Challenge this time has to do with October, particularly Breast Cancer Awareness and Domestic Violence Awareness. I was so inspired by the wonderful pieces of Mistress T. and lisalady161 that I thought it would make a great challenge. To honor both causes stitch up your favorite quote, your favorite role model or even a few cuss words to let us know how you really feel.

Challenge for a Good Cause!
Sept 1st-Oct 11th
Posting your project Oct 12th-Oct 18th
Voting: Oct 19th-25th
Winner Announced Oct. 26th
Prizes: A 20.00 Joann's gift card, needlework supplies

Now here's the fun part. You can enter TWICE! If both causes are dear to your heart and you can't just pick one, why not stitch up something for both. Each will count as one entry so you can double your chance of winning.  Wink

The Specifics:
Post your craft during the period of Oct 12th-Oct 18th.  No sooner. No later.
Voting will happen from Oct 19th-25th

On Oct. 26th (pacific time) a winner will be announced

Each participant can enter ONE per cause for a total of TWO INDIVIDUAL projects.

The stitching can be any size and any style of needlework.

It has to be a current piece. It can not be something that you have already made and posted.

At the end, I will set up a poll and the winner will be announced

Please DO NOT post your completed Project on this thread.

I have an idea for this but I'm quite the novice at embroidery.  I have a very personal photograph I would like to do as an embroidery.  How best to depict scars?  I'll put my thinking chaps on!   Grin

This is a great challenge, thanks for posting it.

Wonderful challenge, KittyKill! I think I have just the right image for this, so here's hoping I can get it done with my busy September...

What a great challenge. Fantastic theme. I've yet to participate in one, but I am starting to feel a little more confident in my embroidery to have a go!
