Thanks everyone for the comments!
the McGyver one made me chuckle! he was a nifty fella wasnt he?

And i still have loads of doilies! it was a pack of 90! lol, i think they will be used later on at my kiddos bday party or for tea parties Smiley

crazyalien8~ thanks for the nice comments & tip, but lol, it was such a windy day out no matter what i did it looked all wrinkly for the pics, but as far as the seams, i cut out the bodice as you would any other article of clothing being made and pieced with the electrical tape in place of sewing. lol, this plastic was/is super thin! i tried to find a vinyl one, alas nope. unless i wanted the cream shower curtain and that just wouldnt do the trick  Wink or ermmm...at least not for what my theme was...

When I saw your photo I thought it was a real vintage one. Terrific! I teach a "Recycled Runway" class to kids. Here's a link to some of the outfits they created): www.theartofcraft.o rg

That looks fabulous! In some of the sepia shots it looks like real fabric. Even though the dress is awesome, I think my favourite parts are the hat and the doily decor. Great dollar store project Cheesy
