Wow, I need to try that. I have some fabric I've been saving that would be perfect. And the kitten just makes it so much better by the way.

that dress is really adorable. a very well done summery dress....why cant it be summer yet?  Cry

annd.....its never really a real sewing project until your cat gets invloved....batting at things that your trying to cut out, hitting stuff around the room....stealing thread, seam rippers, etc....and my favorite...sitting on/playing in/sleeping on your fabric and pattern pieces....cats are silly

I've been lurking here at Craftster so long, I've finally decided to regester  Cheesy

I tried this and failed Angry  Aww... I can't believe you made this without a pattern! But when checking out some cheap patterns at Spotlight today (Vogue patterns for $5AU??! Shocked) I saw a similar looking McCalls one, cept there's no tubing, pockets, and it ties up at the back ot the neck.

Hope it helps people who need a pattern ^^

My exclamation upon seeing this dress: OH MY GOODNESS I'M IN LOVE!

I love summer dresses... I'm actually making one right now from a pattern, but I really want to try making one without a pattern because when I use patterns I tend to be very anal-retentive. I'll give it a go with a few simple skirts first, but I LOVE THIS DRESS! And it is definitely going to be a project this summer. THANK YOU!

Wow, that's amazing!  I really want to try making one like it sometime soon... hopefully with some help from a more experienced seamstress (aka my mom! xD).

It looks like it would be really forgiving to make in different sizes.
