Heyo! This is my first time posting. Not sure if this is the right place, so feel free to direct me elsewhere if it isn't.
Quick backstory: I can't sleep with even the tiniest light visible.
What to do? Sleep Mask
Problem: Uninspired
Solution: Stylish Celebrities.
I'm a big fan of Carey Mulligans and love this dress she wore to the Toronto Internation Film Festival. I've been thinking of doing a universe pattern ever since I saw.
Here's the dress:

And here's the sleep mask:

I hand painted the "universe" and hand-stitched around the edge.

The universe is painted on a thin cotton fabric, and than stitched to a piece of felt. In order to give it some strength I sealed it with this iron on fabric sealer stuff...I can't remember the name

Anyways, it was a bitch to sew through, which is my only excuse for the slightly messy stitching. The lines of the whole piece aren't as messy looking in real life.

Besides the ridiculous task of sewing through the fabric cement sealer, I also regret the ribbon I used to tie the whole thing to my head. It's a little crinkly, which doesn't go well with my other sleep disturbance...littl
e noises.
Thanks for checking out my first post
