Hi folks-

I've been in Chicago for about over a year now and I have yet to find any great places for fabric here.  Would anyone like to share their fabric haven secrets with me?  All I have found so far are chains like Hancock and Joanns. There has got to be something better than that.  I am willing drive up to 1 hour out of the city to find something good.  Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Vogue Fabrics--on Roosevelt near UIC campus; Main street in Evanston--I prefer the Evanston store, but both are good.  Also, LZ Textile on 21st...they're closed on Sat. and you'll have to sift through a lot eventually you'll strike gold!!

There's Quiltology on Halsted in Lincoln Park.  quiltology.com They have Amy Butler, Kaffe Fassett (sp?) and a few other lines as well as work space and classes.  lithal65 already mentioned the other two.  There's also Fishman's which I have never been to.  If you want quilt shops, too, I can list a few more.  Where in the city are you?
