so, i've pretty much been a sewing/knitter kind of crafter....but after seeing jewelry from designers like marni and tom binns, their stuff is just screaming to be d-i-y-ed.  i love the big, messy, throw-in-the-kitchen sink kinds of jewelry.

so, here's my first one.  i basically just found some chains (some vintage and some new), and reworked them and just kept stringing, and stringing going back and forth and back and forth, until it looked appropriately entangled and messy.

here's the closeup.

and here it is in action.

Wow, it's beautiful! The texture is amazing, it does look like a net, an elegant and classy net.  Grin It looks like one of those expensive necklaces you'd see in Forever 21 but way cooler because you made it.

I love your ingenuity and the necklace!! At first glance, it made me shutter because I get so upset when that type if thing happened to my chains, but it is soooooooo creative of you to design this necklace!!!
