disaster  Cry

I returned to university today, all ready to open my swap package (all my essays are handed in FINALLY- take that, illness  Tongue ) but my heart sunk when I came to open it...

I received what looked to be one of Aisy's beautiful sweet lolita cakes (check them out on her deviantart page, they're amazing!) on a black, green and orange beaded necklace- but sadly, the necklace attachment had come out, taking some of the squishy 'cake' part away with it...some of the beads on the necklace had been squished deep into the remains of the cake, so when i got them free, some more of the cake was damaged...and some of the fabric cupcake wrapper part had, you guessed it, gotten covered in more gooey cake  Cry

The necklace itself, the (gorgeous!) hand-drawn halloween Stitch shrinky charm, and the tiny bat-shaped cookie are all safe!
but the cake is sadly no more Sad I can see what looks like a swirl of cream type shape on the top, but it's been mostly reduced to a lump of goo wrapped in (cute purple) fabric  Cry

I don't know if it got overheated, or wasn't totally dry when it was sent out, or if the postman just stepped on it and squashed it! But I've kept the Stitch charm attached to the necklace, and I've got it hanging off my mirror, so every day can be halloween  Smiley

I'm so sad, because I can still see just how beautiful the item would have been if it arrived in a non-squishy state! Aisy, if you managed to take pictures before sending, would you like to post them?
sorry to disappoint everyone watching the gallery! i'll try and take a photo of the stitch charm later, although it's quite tiny and my camera might not capture him very well

will you take me to gang practice? yis?

of course i still like it Smiley
the cake part sadly isn't wearable (i don't want to risk it getting stuck to anything again!!) but the rest of the necklace is, i love the stitch charm so much, i'll probably be wearing it a lot   Cheesy
