Great shop, pseudo_pix!  Those finger puppets are terrible cute!  I wish I had some points -- you have stuff I want!  Cheesy

Yay!  Loom arrived today.  It's a very basic rigid heddle from 1976, brand new, still shrink-wrapped.  It was a trip opening up the packaging on something older than I am.  The yarn that was included in the box has a "vintage smell" for want of a better description.  Hehe.  I can't wait to get home and put everything together and I'm really quite sad that I have to spend the rest of the afternoon at work!

Great stuff Pseudo!!

Ooh cool Crumpet!!  Can't wait to see pics of it and your creations!  I took a look on ebay for looms this afternoon because of you and then decided that I couldn't take on another hobby.  LOL.

SML, I can't remember which thread I read that you were doing a 'to scale' rug ....  I remember thinking the fiber you thought might work would actually be too big.  You might want to give embroidery thread a try for a truely 'to scale' rug.

I've got 3 points again ....  haHA ... and new shops opening!!!  but the pizza is ready and my belly is yelling!

That's funny that you talk about using embroidery thread for a scale rug. Here's one I did just recently on my souped up loom (I'm getting a real one from mlf soon!). Please excuse the horrible weave; it is my first try. The width across is approximately 2 inches.

I'm so excited- I'm going to look at a drum carder tomorrow!! I found it on craigslist and supposedly it's only been used once. Hoping it pans out!!

A drum carder opens up a whole new world!!!  Although, now a days, I find myself using the drum carder more for just my 'Ugly Duckling' Batts (which spin up gorgeous ... to me anyway) and dyeing rovings.  I'm sure I'll get back to my drum carder soon!
