Welcome back, KatyMai, and welcome to STS, sheepBlue!

Calluna - Sorry I didn't post in round 29's discussion, but your Celine Dion cat story was hilarious. I hope that if I tried that, she'd run in the opposite direction.  Still no sign of her yet but we're thinking positive thoughts and will put flyers in our neighbors mailboxes tonight when I get home.  She'll be back when she starts missing Pig.

Oops - and craft related.. hmm. I need to finish up a washcloth for another swap tonight!  After that, I need to find something else to knit.  (It's in the mid-60s and raining here today so it's the PERFECT day to sit on a couch with a warm throw, a cup of tea and knit, knit, knit!)

Welcome SheepBlue!!  Smiley
And welcome back KatyMai!!

I just posted the awesome fancy dress that Ptarmic made for Lana.  Go check out the gallery!

Also I played hooky today and went out to Ikea to replace the the curtains in the living room.  They were having a sale so I had to go.  The original curtains were close to $1K because they were oversized and we can't afford that right now (or ever again) so I replaced them with several panels.  Total cost for front and side windows: $45!  Much, much better.  And I made an awesome score--went to drop off a humongous bag of batteries in the recycling area and scored an awesome table top.  It's got a minor scrap on one of the edges, but the top is pristine.  After I let it degass for a few months I'll be adding some little legs and making Lana a new craft table!  Smiley

I'm curious - I know you knit crabs but have you ever thought to knit a face-hugger from the Aliens movie? It has sort of the same shape. If you did I would SO claim it for my boyfriend. It would be too awesome  Grin

I haven't signed up for this round yet but I intent to.  I want a couple of the typewriter key pendants from AQ.

For anyone who is wondering, I received my wool dyer balls from OneRedBoot and they work really well.  I got them on Sun when we got back from camping this weekend.  I was able to use them right away since we had a ton of laundry to do from the trip.  I started out just using one but still got some static so I tossed another one in the second load and it's been great since.

Lapoli- Sorry to hear about your missing kitty.  When ours went missing after we moved to a new place, we had our dog go look for her.  We told the dog, "Go find the kitty, where's the kitty?".  He took off down the street, sniffing away.  He jumped and barked at a brick wall a few houses down.  Sure enough, she was hiding behind a tree that overhung at the top of the wall.   I am not sure if we would have found her otherwise.
