my friend lovely owls and I missed her birthday while she was away in Italy travelling, so I'm definately going to put some time aside to make this for her.

Without a pattern, it looks like I'll have to get a bike for the depth measurement of the bag. (Knowing me I would end up with a bag that is too long for the space between the handlebars and the fender/wheel.)
I am not griping - because knitting in chunky yarn means that rows can quickly be undone and redone.  Grin

Much praise to you for your ingenious positioning of the bag on the handlebars!
