With all of the people with the flu and bummer news, I feel it's time for another random photo.

This is a REAL photo taken from last years rodeo in louisiana.

My swap items are nearly ready to be sent. If all goes well I'll be shipping to New Jersey tomorrow (from South Africa)!!
Whooooooo!!  Cheesy

I thought I'd finish one item last night, but it took a little longer than I expected, so the extra few days is a nice cushion.

So... how well did the monkey ride?  Cheesy

Another random fact... that monkey's name is Whiplash. My husband once looked into hiring them to come to a minor league baseball game.

In Random Swap news, I haven't done much crafting this week, but I did get one small item done and came up with an idea for another small.

This morning was productive for the Random Swap!  Ideas blossomed, and I acted on a couple of them.

That's rather bizarre that you can hire that monkey!  Even more bizarre that AQ knows his name!

After my very frustrating evening, I managed to finish a small for this swap and a medium for another, and I've decided to frog a whole bunch of my large for this swap and make it better.  I still have one issue, but I'm goign to go with the "screw it, its probably only noticeable to my own critical eye" practice.  In which I ignore that issue.

that picture is random in epic proportions! i can't stop looking at it, and i can't decide what's more bizarre, the monkey or the dog. okay, there's no argument, the monkey obviously wins because he's a monkey, but the expression on the dog's face is classic too!

I'm living/working in Yosemite Nat'l Park til further notice! Blogging about it here. No swapping for me, and minimal crafting time, for the coming months. Graduated from library school! That sums things up for now.

I was just thinking that too - that dog looks positively thrilled to be ridden by that monkey.

I just checked, I think my package has made it to the States.  I hope the customs people weren't too hard on it, and it gets to HeyVern in reasonable amount of time.  In the last couple of swaps I did sending to the States, one got there in a week, except she wasn't home to open it until several weeks later - the other didn't get to the recipient for several weeks!  I get nervous shipping things across the border sometimes  Sad

If anyone is swapping with me & happens to see any of the Pickup Trucks Forever stamps on their mail - please pop them in the package for me - my hubby would love them!  Huge pre-emptive thanks
