My most recent embroidery.

Let me present to you... Beardman

I did this freehand, while referencing a similar doodle I did at work the other day.

As always, the frame is a faux wood rubber frame from Michael's.

and

here is a little glimpse at my doodle cloth for fun

Comments, criticism, beards, all welcome.

lovely variety of stitches, he looks very cool!

Love the tassel! is the plaited outline of the beard couched on?

i love him! reminds me of the nursery rhyme -
There was an Old Man with a beard,
Who said, "It is just as I feared! --
Two Owls and a Hen, four Larks and a Wren,
Have all built their nests in my beard.

oooh how cool is he? I love the different techniques you use. And I love the frame. Way cool. I wish I would have time to figure out how to embroider. I know HOW but I suck at it. Tongue

yes the braid is couched on in a few spots and in other places I stitched through the braid to hold it tighter and to achieve the curl.

Beautiful! I love him (and not just because I love beards). The different shapes and textures you used make this so unique, and a true work of art. I love the tassel. Nice touch.

I really like your beardman.

Your doodle cloth is great!  I am hopeless at french knots, but I love the look of them Your knot clusters are so awesome that it inspires me to keep practicing.  Smiley
