Hi All -

I made these necklaces for a recent trip, because I knew it was going to be hot out and i didnt want something heavy around my neck but still wanted something cute.

Im not sure that they are quite esty ready yet, specially because its almost fall so I thought Id share them with all of you and get your opinions.

This is how i put it all together in case you wanna give it a go!

1:
cut two 14" pieces of Ribbon and stitched them together in the center to form a point (this helps it to lay flat along your collar bone)

2:
Cut 3 different sizes of Circles. 5 circles for each flower.  I used a water bottle lid for the smallest one, and pill bottle lid for the middle size and a water glass for the large size.

3:
I pinched and bunched the circles in the center and then stitched them to the ribbon.  Then i stitched a pearl/smokey quartz in the center for a little sparkle.

Enjoy!

i really like them, it's a cute idea.

how did you fold the circles to get that voluminous look?

if i wanted buy them, i would want/request sealed/hemmed/something edges, but that's probably just because i sew a lot and i know how raw edges fray. i like the raw look though. maybe just one or two rows of stitching a few millimetres away from the hem to keep everything secure? everything else is fine for selling i think.

I folded the Circles in to little cones and then slightly overlapped them (sort of like pizza slices making a full pizza) on top of each other so it was puffy, then anchored the center with the bead.

I thought it would look a little more "shabby chic" with the frayed edges so i left the raw.  I did put no fray on them and they havent changed since ive worn them.   But I think a row of stitches would probably work better.

thanks!
