so i have been making hats like crazy lately! i really wanted a button tab on one, so i sort of improvised what i thought would work. It is ok, but i think i have a better way for next time. here are the pics! i know you are excited! lol.





ohh! I made the button too!!

thanks guys! i made the button out of polymer clay and painted it. next time i will just buy the clay in the color i want. the paint didn't do so well!

OMG - that is a brilliant way to make sure your hat fits! It never occurred to me to create the brim sideways and then work up from there. I suppose you could even do something similar with knitting - knit a brim that's purposely too long, overlap so it fits, and pick up the correct number of stitches.
