Eyeballed this fabric for months, wanted it but had no project in mind until I saw another post in Purse section with same fabric.  I ran out and bought this even tho DH said it's "Horrific".  Tote is McCall's 3772 and turned out to be way bigger than anything I'd  carry.

you can't tell by the pic that i added turq and rootbeer colored seed beads to the coordinating dots of the fabric. it looks pretty cool for my first time beading.

Your hubby is wrong! That fabric is beautiful! Is the tote big enough for groceries? I doesn't seem that big on the hanger. I've been looking for a good tote pattern.

I love the fabric - and the bag shows it off beautifully.

I was having trouble seeing the details, so I hope you don't mind that I'm posting a bigger pic of your purse.  I love it!  I agree that the hubby is WRONG!!   Grin

Don't listen to a man... otherwise you'll never have anything but plain black or beige. Your tote is beautiful! And it's really not an everyday purse, but an extra bag for the stuff you don't necessarrily want in your purse. Like shopping finds, extra clothes, etc.

DaringToBeGreat- the tote (bag portion) is 12 inches + (handles) 10 inches= 22 inches total height, 13 inches wide and 3 inches deep.  Lap top size but you could make it deeper to accomidate groceries.
What was i thinking asking fashion advice from a guy whose wardrobe is consists of grey t-shirts( for everday) or black( for dressup) ?
