I posted about this quilt in December when I finished it. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=283186.msg3208178#msg3208178 I got so many wonderful comments, I wanted to share my accomplishment with you all.  This year I decided to enter it in our state fair (KY).  I didn't expect to win anything cause I had entered a quilt a couple of years ago and didn't win.  But I was hoping I would at least get an honorable mention.  Imagine my pride when I found out not only did I win a blue ribbon but I was honored to have my quilt placed in the glass showcase.  Thanks for all your encouragement.

Congratulations!  It's a beautiful quilt and how wonderful to have it recognized by experts as a blue ribbon winner.

Crazy! I, as fellow Ky-ian, just saw this quilt at the fair! What a small small world....

Fantastic work, by the way! I have always wanted to get into quilting, but am just too intimidated!

I too saw this at the Ky state fair.  Congrats on the blue ribbon it is beautiful.  I entered my first items this year, candy and a pie, no ribbons but I can't wait to enter again next year!

Ahhh... I'm relatively new to Kentucky.  I moved here a year ago for a job at Western Kentucky University.  I love my job, but we've been too broke to travel the state/surrounding area much.  Plus I'm from NH, and hubby is from IL, so we don't really know where to begin exploring Kentucky...  Maybe I'll get up to the state fair next year!

I live in Louisville!  Cheesy I haven't been to the fair yet, but I'll be sure to have a look at your quilt when I go! I love looking in that part of the Exposition Center with all of the arts and crafts.

Congratulations on winning!  Grin

WKU, ya say???

Mammoth Cave is awesome, but Louisville is sooo much better! There is a ton to do and you would totally have a blast!
