Thanks  Managed to login and search. How do you download the online patterns? Or do you have to pay to do that ?

The only thing I could figure to do was to copy the small pic of the pattern, which would then need to be gridded up.  Maybe there's a way to actually download the pattern, but I didn't see how to do it...

I copied this from the FAQ hope it helps!

"To Enlarge and Print the Pattern Images:
1. Left click on the image to see the larger view and the small-scale pattern pieces.
2. To enlarge either of these, left click on the image.
3. To return to the previous page, click on Back.
4. To Print the images, select File, Print.
5. To continue browsing the original Search, select Search from The CoPA Menu Bar.
TIP: to return to the recently viewed pattern in Search, type Control f’ and type the pattern number or the Pattern ID number and press Enter. (MAC users: type Apple f.)
Please note: The images & metadata may only be used for private research and study purposes. Images may be printed for class work or personal reference but may not be reproduced for other purposes. "

Thank you so much! this site is fantastic!

I was a little confused at first too, ludi and ickle; it seems that the site offers the picture the garment, and a small scale drawing of the pattern pieces (when thy were included with the original, which is not very often in the 19th century ones).
You can grid them up, but i think these are best used with a sloper that you then modify. Fits better that way anyway
