these are great.......I especially love the idea of banned book bracelets.  You should crank a few out and commission them in a local book/gift shop.  Hell, you should roll with the idea of banned media and make a whole collection.  Movies, rock albums, etc.  It's a subtle, fun anti-censorship statement, support free expression.  Love it.

I have a question for people about the banned book bracelet.  If I make more, do you think I should keep them as is or swap out one of the covers for a bead that says something like "I read banned books" or a quote about censorship or something so that people will understand what it is right away?  Or is it better to just have the covers?

I personally like the continuity of having all covers, but that is also because I know they are banned. Some people may not know, but putting a quote might take away from the flow of the bracelet.

PS- I really love your Coney Island necklace!

Hmm.  I think it would be cool to add something like that....I guess it depends what you're going for.  It could either be a subtle, thought provoking and smart quote on the subject of censorship/book burning/ free expression, or a simple to the point statement "I read banned books."
Maybe the key is to think of this tile like a bumper sticker or a button, you know, the proud display of the wearer's opinion intended to spark conversation, deep thought, or a laugh.
Yeah, I think it would add to it.  People like "flair." lol

I love this!  I would not add the text because I think it would end up taking away from the bracelet.
