Pink Honey

This quilt was the first one I've ever made from a kit and I'm absolutely thrilled with it! All of the fabrics are from Amy Butler's Daisy Chain line except for the cream and green roses on the back! My local quilt shop Honey Bee made up the pattern and put together the fabrics for these kits for the Houston Quilt Show last year and I bought one of the leftovers with a gift card. The quilt was machine quilted by me on a longarm I rent time on. I used a super thin 80/20 cotton batting. The finished dimensions are 70 x 84.

I'm not usually into kits because to me the fun part of a quilt is picking out all of the fabrics and creating my own pattern, but these fabrics are great and the pattern that was created for them just worked so great! I really think if everyone knew how easy and satisfying quilting can be everyone in the world would be making quilts! So without any more blabbing on from me, here are the pictures!

I love it, so pretty! How much does it cost per hour to rent a longarm? I think the outer border fabric may be my fave!

This quilt is GORGEOUS! I love the fabrics and pattern created on the front! I also like the stripes in the middle of the back. I haven't seen a quilt with that before. It's unexpected, but really cool.

Yeah I second the question how much does renting a long arm cost?

The long arm I rent is 14 dollars an hour, and because of the pattern I chose to quilt it took 6 hours! So quilting can be an expensive hobby sometimes but i just love the way it turned out!
