I needed a checkbook holder but also with slots for cards - so after essentially copying the cheap plastic thingy that comes with the checks - I added some pockets & a tab and viola...I think my next ones may be finished off with bias tape around the edges to cut back on bulk though.

thanks Smiley
They aren't too tough - there might be a tutorial here...or if you find one for a smaller wallet/credit card holder, just widen it - that's how I did my pockets. They are actually just one long strip of fabric folded like an accordian.

I am in love with that fabric.  Cheesy

I am dying to make some funky pillowcases and cushions out of that type of fabric.
Do you know any websites that may carry that kind of mod fabric print??

Yeah all my local fabric stores suck!!! Cry

The fabric is called Nicoise Spice (I believe I spelled it right) by Alexander Henry - it's a quilting cotton (I think) and it is from ReproDepot online....it was only around $7/yd... I got it nearly a year ago. It is one of those fabrics I love so much I never want to cut into. So one day I just grabbed & cut - and survived Smiley
