i am so proud of myself! trying to make visors/bills/brims on hats was like a mystery to me. so i just sat down and decided to look at it like a sculpture. so after some work, this is what i got!

please ignore my goofy face!

anyway, i love this hat! and it is all my own design, so comments and critiques are appreciated!

aww, thanks joybilee! green is my favorite color
and thanks, GeeZee! yeah, bills are crazy. i find i like the smaller bills rather  than the big-as-baseball-cap bills on crochet hats.

Great hat!  I love the raised bits and the texture.  The green was an awesome choice, too!

Thank you, Lucy_Stardust and julietalpha!
ooh i forgot to mention how awesomely soft this yarn is!! it is 100% cotton yarn from hobby lobby called "I Love This Cotton". it is softer, smoother, and a tad bit lighter than sugar and cream, plus it doesn't stretch out! If you have a Hobby Lobby near you, go buy some!

Ruby Copperhead, i just started experimenting. just start trying things row by row, and if you don't like it, rip it out and try again! what may work for a certain yarn may not work for another.
