Ever since I saw this, I've wanted to make it sooooooooooo badly, but everyone I know that's having babies at the moment have opted not to find out if the babies are boys or girls, so it looks like it's on hold for the time being:

It's just so damn darling I can barely stand it. Smiley

I just bound off the shoulders on my anouk (from Knitty).  I modified the pattern to make it a dress rather than a pinafore.  I'll post pics when I get home from work.  (oh, maybe i should be "working")  It is so cute I can't wait to cast on another one.  (So many babies.  Many many girl babies.  So much fun knitting for them)

Berroco has lots of cute free patterns on their site (the children's page is here:http://berroco.com/item_fr/fr_children.html )

I knit the "Cutie Patootie" for one of my gender-unknown niece/nephew twins that my sister-in-law is expecting.  It knit up really fast (yay worsted weight baby clothes).

I'd love to see your modified Anouk, subloke, and hear the details about what kind of yarn you used, etc. Smiley

I get so excited when someone I know gets pregnant...I automatically start thinking "ooh, more tiny clothes to knit!"

...goes to check out the berroco link....

They're not a dress, but what an awesome accessory: I'm completely in love with these "Baby UGGs"

I'm going to start on a pair for my bff's baby as soon as I found a less expensive yarn to sub for the suede:

I just looooooooooooove crumpets!  It's $4.50 for the pattern at www.chiagu.com, but it's just so cute, I think it's worth it.

I finished "Anouk" a few days ago but haven't gotten around to showing it off!

(this is the "before" shot...  as in before the ends are woven in and before the pockets are sewn on.  This is the only shot i managed to get where the colors turned out accurate.)

Here she is completed.  (I can't figure out why this one turned out so dark.  I wasn't able to get a brighter picture...  stupid digital camera (owner)!)

I knit it in the round instead of as an opensided pinafore.  I used (don't judge me) Bernat Handcrafter cotton which is surprisingly soft.  I'm going to give it a wash before I give it away.

That's totally adorable.  I'm going to have to check out that Bernat Handcrafter cotton...seems to come in bright colors!
