Knitting Takes Balls

I'm moving to Savannah in September for school and I'm looking for more crafters! I've read some posts that were a few years old stating some fabric and yarns shops etc. and I was wondering if there was anything new? I don't have a car, but i'm living about 2 miles outside of the downtown area...so distance isn't the biggest problem. Does anyone host a knitting circle, or craft classes?

I'm a knitter, sewer, designer, and wanna-be crocheter, 20 yr old student =]

Lorna,  I guess this is a little late.  You're probably all settled in already.  We are pretty lucky with the crafty stores here.  Fabrika is downtown and awesome.  I've head good things about Wildfibre but have always been too poor to go in (I have no will-power.  It's better for my wallet to just not go) Plus there's a michaels, an A.C. Moore, JoAnns and a Hancock fabroc in town.  I think Fabrika does classes, but I'm not sure.  They have a facebook though, so you should check it.
